The dumpling skin is soft and pillowy and the meat is juicy and fresh tasting ! It is like eating the ones in the street of Shanghai ! Best ever !

These are my most favorite dumpling/bao and making them at home is fantastic.
I like the crispy bottom but steaming it in the pan, made it a bit soggy. I will try to steam it in the bamboo steamer next time.
This is quickly becoming a staple at our house. My whole family loves them- it’s rare that all three of my kids equally enjoy the same food. The flavor of the filling is spot on and the bao has great texture when pan fried. We keep coming back for more
