Tasted okay... Could not taste the crabs at all, and every XLB exploded during steaming or immediately after when attempting to pick them up.
I ordered many bag crab and pork XLB wish I can taste the crab meat flavor. Unfortunately not much deferent from the regular pork flavor.
This is on par with the ones at DTF, it's like I get to eat DTF whenever I want :)
These XLB are fantastic and so affordable, I can't wait to order again next month!
The taste is pretty good and almost as good as I remember from a Din Tai Fung but the price as about comparable to eating at a restaurant. Still a solid product from Yummidumplings but not my go to item.
The most important aspect is you have to use the proper steaming tools and not break the skin during the steaming/cooking process. You pay a premium for having "soup" dumplings and would be a shame if you lost the "soup" because the skin broke during cooking.
i have been craving for xlb for quite sometime, but didn't want to dine out because of covid. i got lucky and saw yummi dumpling's announcement of their trip here in LV. i love how it tasted and very convenient since we can have it at home already! 👍👍👍
So glad YD came to North Cal . I have had these before and buying second batch . All my friends who I recommend to buy items from YE love the items .
Nice thin wrapping with a lot of soup inside . Fresh ingredients , this is coming from a Chinese person who is picky about dumplings . I like them so much I drove these home from So cal to San Francisco
